Gisela Spallek, MD, PhD, MSBA (IT)
Gisela grew up and went to medical school in East Germany, working on her PhD in neuro-morphology in Moscow when the Berlin wall fell. In 1996, she and her husband moved to the US where she earned a MSBA in information technology and founded spallek.com LLC, an Internet service company for healthcare professionals. In 2016, the Spalleks moved continents once more, now living with their two daughters in Sydney, Australia. Gisela splits her time working in the spallek.com office and her glass art studio.
Gisela has been living with primary adrenal insufficiency (Addison’s disease) since 2008. She is passionate about using her medical background combined with an expertise in Web and information design to present medical information in an accessible, easy to understand format to the AI community.
