Adrenal Crisis

Despite daily replacement therapy, patients with adrenal insufficiency are at risk for life-threatening acute adrenal failure. Adrenal crisis and severe acute adrenocortical insufficiency are often elusive diagnoses that may result in severe morbidity and mortality when undiagnosed or ineffectively treated.
